Lions fullback James Kamana has been suspended for three weeks after a SANZAR judicial hearing held in Johannesburg on Tuesday found him guilty of dangerous play.

The hearing, chaired by Advocate Jannie Lubbe (SC), was called after Kamana was cited for a dangerous tackle on Cheetahs centre Robert Ebersohn during a Super Rugby clash in Bloemfontein last weekend. Kamana received a yellow card for the incident, which occurred during the 60th minute of the match.
The hearing found Kamana guilty on the charge of a dangerous tackle under Law 10.4 (j) that relates to lifting an opponent into the air and dropping him into the ground, commonly referred to as a “tip” tackle.
The player, who pleaded guilty to the charge, has the right to appeal.

Geez, seems a bit rough.
If only the Anzac alliance would be as harsh when handing out sentences to non saffas.

Dis nou nie die BESTE span nie, maar kom ons wees nou eerlik, dit sal ‘n goeie kans wees vir van die manne om dalk nog ‘n claim af te steek vir die Wereld Beker. Smit kan bewys OF hy nog daar hoort, Steyn kan bewys hy het niks verloor in die noordelike halfrond nie, Vermaak en Grant sal uiteindelik ‘n behoorlike kans kry om te wys hulle in NIE net Super rugby spelers nie. En dan het jy ouens soos Le Grange, Sykes en Strauss wat op huidige vorm ten minste eervolle vermelding. Vir Brussouw, BJ en Mapoe sal dit ook ‘n goeie geleentheid wees om na lang beserings en NH rugby, hoe standaard rugby te ervaar voor die WB.
Maar natuurlik kan die Bok afrigters nie so ver dink nie…
