Sanzar made an announcement today to say some forced changes had to be made to the Referee line-ups for some of the First Round games
- Hurricanes vs Highlanders, Wellington, 18 February
Bryce Lawrence (injured) will be replaced by Stuart Dickinson as Match-Referee
- Sharks vs Cheetahs, Durban, 19 February
Craig Joubert will replace Steve Walsh (injured) and Pro-Legoete will be the assistant Referee in Craig’s place
- Lions vs Bulls, Johannesburg, 19 February
Jaco Peyper will be replaced by Joey Solomons as assistant Referee
