I have a friend who works for the legal firm that does all the contracts for WP and…
he tells me that the WP are very nervous as Duanne Vermeulen and Juan De Jongh are both negotiating with the Lions to move to Jo’burg for the S15. Apparently they have been offered huge sums of money.
The grapevine is rife with speculation that the Lions are also in talks with Francois Steyn, Butch James and BJ Botha.
The Sharks are none too pleased that the Lions legal department have, allegedly, found a loophole in The Beast’s contract and are throwing BIG money at him to move to Gauteng.
Where there is smoke…..
The Lions could be quite competitive if they buy all these players.
Juan is also unhappy with how much he is being paid at WP…

The Sharks seemed to have weathered the storm where all the so called non white players were targeted by the Lions
In this case though a lot of underhandedness is taken place where even wives of some players are being hounded to get them to talk to their hubbies etc

As for Frans Steyn he has indicated that if and when he returns to SA it will be at the tank, he does however still have a next year left on his contract at metro
only time will tell
another thing that came forward of late puma , is that the Sharks have purchased the least players out of all the Unions from the craven week etc
The feeling is that the Sharks acadamy is starting to work,

@ sharky_forever:15 – Just read on WTR that KdK was in talks with Fransie and Butch, from what I read the Lions think Fransie only has a 2 year contract, but he has a 3 year contract as far as I know with Metro.
Just have to see what happens.
You think he will come back to the Sharks? Many times I went to the stadium to watch games so many of our supporters used to boo him. Well mostly from the East Stand, so hope that has not turned him off of us. I would like him to come back to the Sharks too, but not so sure if he will.

@ superBul:24 – Super, When Fransie is in good shape and fit he is one of our best. I wish him well we ever he plays. Rather have him back playing for Lions than Metro in France. Much better for us to get our best players back in South Africa. A loss for the Sharks but that is how it goes.

hell sorry is missed you we must arrange a weekend or more here, you take a dop , you like rugby(not nearly as clever as me) but still you love the game. I would LOVE to spend a weekend with you in my territory. If you dont behave , remember we are in the country where we feed you to the lions. HAHA. No come on Puma the weather is far%ed , this is the time when we sweat, and it is bloody cold here. Winter is here in mid November.
