The 3rd Round of the SWC starts today. For 16 teams this Round will spell the end of SWC 2010. We stand together today behind South Africa who are with little hope of survival.
If Mexico and Uruguay play to a draw we will be out. The two games take place at the same time. That is a clever move by FIFA to prevent match fixing. If one of the two teams lose and SA wins, the goals FOR count heavy against us. SA must then score 3 goals more than the loser in the other Group A match. In short the task is tough, and we are hanging on a thin thread.

Well, we must hope Uruguy beats Mexico 2 or 3 / 0, bringing Mexico’s goal difference down considerably…. then it’s up to Bafana Bafana to beat France with a 2 or 3 goal difference, hardly likely… but possible.

Congrats to Bafana Bafana for beating France 2 / 1… unfortunately Uruguy only beat Mexico 1 / 0 so Bafana Bafana end third in their group, but above France.
Bafana ends on 4 points, same as Mexico but Mexico’s goal difference is 3 better than Bafana’s.
Bafana Bafana unfortunately exit the World Cup… and the bad game for them was against Uruguy.

I would’ve been sooooo happy with a win over France, but ouens we could so easily have scored 4 or 5. So, we bow out….sad, but I’m still proud of them. Well done, Bafana!

We could have got 4 goals here. We missed a easy one in the first half and also again in the 2nd. Then maybe 5 as one went in when we were off side. Pity. A real pity we never beat Mexico as well. We hit the posts twice in that game and could have beaten them. All the what ifs. Feel sad actually we out.
Then well done to our team that came out and really tried to get the goals they needed. Also well done to Bafana for beating France.

@ fender:11 – Fender we could so easy have got 4 probably 5 goals in this game. Missed two very easy ones and that off side one we got in. What a huge, huge pity. Imagine if we got those goals which I never thought we would and probably the whole nation thought we would never. Can you imagine if we die??????? The party and the up liftment in this country would have been like no other. So sad to see us go out. Still pleased and full of pride that we beat France.

Never thought before it that we would have a chance but we did. So gutted for the players and the supporters. Though our world cup goes on and I am enjoying this world cup our country is hosting. It is awesome. We wont see another world cup here, well not in my life time so making the most of every minute of it. Really enjoying it a lot.

Actually I feel really gutted to see our Soccer team go out. They really got themselves into a great position to win this by 4 or 5 goals. Pity it never happend. Really it would have been the most awesome feeling to see them go through today as they needed a huge score to do it. They almost did. So yes feel gutted.
Our world cup is still on and enjoying it huge. Having a blast. Even have a vuvuzela…….hahaha. Can blow it really well too. Enjoying all the touring supporters. Great to see such great teams in our own country and really enjoying their supporters. Have gone down to the beach front a few times to have a bit of fun with all of them. Great world cup. Very proud of my country.
